The Reception of the Holy Scriptures: at the crossroads between philology, hermeneutics and translation studies.
Proceedings of the International Symposium Investigations into Romanian and European Biblical Traditions

The Reception of the Holy Scriptures: at the crossroads between philology, hermeneutics and translation studies includes a selection of papers presented at the International Symposium Insights in the Romanian and European Biblical Tradition , organized on an yearly basis by the Centre for Biblical and Philological Studies Monumenta linguae Dacoromanorum within the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research - Department of Socio-Humanities of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi. Based on the idea that biblical tradition is one of the foundations of European culture, the volume provides an invitation to dialogue between specialists from various fields (philology, biblical studies, classical studies, cultural studies, history, or even medicine, linguistics, literature, ethnology), with notable contributions from our colleagues from different geographical areas (Europe, Israel, USA, etc.). The outcome is a complex, multidisciplinary perspective on the fundamental text of Christianity and its implications, consisting in an exchange of ideas that facilitates the transfer of methods and strategies for approaching the biblical text.
